Ingredients

Garnish

  • 1 Orange Peel

Instructions

  • Place Dr. I.J. Douglass’s L’Absinthe Bitters in the bottom of an old fashioned glass, and swirl to coat.
  • In a mixing glass combine bourbon, Dr. I.J. Douglass’s Metaphysical Bitters, and simple syrup over ice, stir to chill well.
  • Strain mixing glass into prepared old fashioned glass.
  • Take orange peel garnish and rub the rim of the glass, squeeze the twist to express the oils and then place in glass.

Simple Syrup

  • Bring equal parts water and sugar to a boil, stir to dissolve sugar, and let cool. Keep refrigerated.

Ingredients

Garnish

  • 1 Lime Wedge

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients except cider in a shaker.
  • Shake with ice
  • Strain into a Collins glass over ice. 
  • Top with cider.
  • Garnish with a lime wedge or round.

  • 2 Cocktail Cherries

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass.
  • Stir with ice.
  • Strain into a chilled cocktail of coupe glass. 
  • Garnish with cocktail cherries.

  • 1/2 Cinnamon Stick

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass, stir with ice. 
  • Strain into an old fashioned glass over a ice.
  • Garnish with half a cinnamon stick.

Dr. I.J.’s Special Syrup

  • In a pot combine 1 cup of sugar, 1 cup of water, 12-15 cloves, 4 cinnamon sticks (broken apart), and the peel of 1 orange. 
  • Bring to a boil, stir to dissolve sugar. 
  • Let cool, and strain. Keep refrigerated.
